Kavanagh with arsenal Chelsea,Liverpool city, united Chelsea and
Newcastle spurs after 16gws is very good going.hopefully he
stays injury free

Strongly disagree with refs being punished by being out for a
significant length of time - what does it achieve? Yes, a week
or two out of the limelight (more to ease pressure on the
official), but an extended period away is actually
counter-productive. Makes the eventual return such a big deal
and less likely to go well, having not done a game at PL
standard for so long. The mistake was clear and public; no doubt
he was mortified which is the biggest punishment. He should have
been eased in on a low-profile game ages ago and supported back
quickly.
Hackett always harps on about people ‘sitting on their hands’.
Seems very facile and poor man management to me. Worse still,
people like Hackett are always inconsistent/unfair with it. If
Poll made a blunder, nothing would happen, but others would be
hung out to dry. I want Webb to be brave enough to say - a
serious mistake was made, the ref has learnt from it and been
out for a couple of weeks, now we need to move on.

Another meeting with Tierney for us. The last two times we had
him he was disappointing.
I’m sure Martin will be exemplary holding the numbers board.
Robinson with another tv offering, and Barrott with a tricky
clash.

Hackett didn’t really leave the PGMOL in a good place after his
“tenure” ( said very loosely).
We only had minimal FIFA officials following on and SG1 was in a
mess with the lack of younger officials progressing.

It'll actually be his 7th - he's refereeing Wolves v Burnley
tonight. I feel like with the rise of Brooks, Gillett has been
sidelined a little bit - Villa v Arsenal is an excellent
appointment however.

Surprised to see Gillett on the Villa v Arsenal game, he just
doesnt seem to have had many games or a consistent run.
A good referee who is settling down in the premier league.
I do fear when i see his name on a villa game, nothing about his
refereeing skills, just results never seem to go our way when he
in the middle (dont have stats to prove this, its just a
feeling), i often had that feeling when Mike Dean refereed us
but rarely did he put a foot wrong and i liked the way he
refereed games.
Seems Anthony Taylor is having a well deserved break from the
middle.

Why Tierney again when (for example), we haven't has Gillett
once yet? I'm sure Macho Man Martin will have no trouble holding
the boards aloft for the entire 90 minutes with his rippling,
toned physique.

Being away next week prevents me from going to Vicarage Road, as
I would surely have done, thus missing out on seeing David
Coote. It's not too difficult to choke back my disappointment
