Not only Newcastle hard done by , even little Plymouth done over
, this is immediately preceding the only goal of the game for
       Coventry.

To be fair to the referee he gave a fair display , he was fair
to both teams giving nothing when fouls occurred then correcting
it by giving fouls when nothing occurred, gave throws randomly
the wrong way and then gave yellows when players objected to a
game being decided by his team’s incompetence, I will say he
tried to be fair though because after every error he gave
something cheaply to correct it , I’ve got a little bit of
advice though …. Just get it right in the first place and
       everyone will be happy.

Someone will no doubt advise us your answer is in the title
       after naming the two teams……Davies.

How Davies is SG2 has been an enigma for years… but clearly he
has the ability to be there or he’d be given more L1 and L2
       games.

But genuine question - how is the assistant, in line by the
corner flag meant to give this - there are 2 'interlocked' legs
in the way, for that vital 1/10th of a second he is blocked -
and the ref 18 yards away at the edge of the area would just be
guessing. Its unfortunate, and probably wrong - but would have
been very difficult to get it right.

I had a similar problem on Saturday, except my view was blocked
by the manager and assistant manager who had strayed out of the
technical area and up to the touchline despite having been
warned not to previously. Guess whether it was their team or
the opposition benefitted from my decision! :)

It's all about viewing angles and there is a picture on that
twitter thread from a different angle which makes it look in.
I don't think you can be too harsh on citizen Kane because a) it
might not have been out and b) he's got no decent view through
       the players.
With no view, you're guessing. Yes, whatever some people say,
sometimes officials guess. Personally all things being equal,
I'd guess in favour of the defence.
