John Brooks - Everton vs Man Utd

Poor 1st half from him. Missed some very obvious free-kicks and
didn't give Garnacho or Fernandes a yellow card for kicking the
ball away. Hopefully he improves 2nd half.

My opinion differs to yours. A very solid first half in a very
difficult atmosphere. Yes Garnacho should've been booked but
that's the only real error.

We can agree to disagree. On a side note, what a goal from
Garnacho. Similar to Rooney's overhead kick against City

Good intervention by VAR to send John Brooks to the screen but
i'm suprised he missed it in real time.

Given the reaction of Young and his torrent of abuse he sent
towards Brooks he really should have been given a second yellow
and sent packing.
This is where consistency is missing… Taylor does it yesterday
and Brooks not today.

I can understand why Brooks missed the penalty in real time and
such an incident is either a penalty or a YC for diving. Young
gives me the impression that he tries to be too clever to make
up for his lack of speed and in this case he sticks a foot out
which is in front of him. Young is a lucky boy.
This is an emotional and toxic atmosphere, Brooks will find it
hard to be judged fairly. He has been OK imho.

I thought given the atmosphere Brooks was overall good without
being any more or any less , tried his best to let the game flow
does his best to try build a rapport with players and explain
his decisions , understandable that he missed the penalty in
real time at first it looked to me like a dive then first replay
I saw I thought martial initiated the contact but a couple of
replays later it showed the clear foul He missed YC’s for
Garnacho for kicking the ball away and Fernandes for a very late
rash challenge he played advantage but didn’t sanction when the
ball went out of play
