Potential red card - Crewe v Doncaster

This was given as a caution yesterday, could it be red?
Would love to hear people’s thoughts on this.

It was certainly a challenge made with intensity and it is very
late. Think it’s tricky to say a stonewall ref but doubt there
could be many complaints if it was given!

I know I'm biased as a Donny fan, but it's never a red card.
It's late and deserves a yellow, but there isn't excessive
force and the impact is low down.

Absolutely, a text book yellow for me. He tripped him rather
than kicked him. Full marks to the fouled player for not doing a
triple roll clutching his head. Ref on the scene quickly and
effectively too.

I was there as a Crewe fan and, as I commented on the L2
appointments thread, I thought it was borderline red, but was
prepared to accept Martin Coy's decision to give a yellow. I am
not persuaded by this clip to change my mind.

Martin pulled out the yellow straight away. I’m not saying it’s
a red, I just wanted to see others views on the tackle.

The Doncaster defender knew what he was doing by taking the
Crewe forward out, if he hadn't have fouled him the Crewe
forward would have been in a good position to move forward
towards the Penalty area. Personally i think he was lucky to
only receive a yellow card when you look at the force of the
challenge which was very late.

Similar to the Cash one in the PL is an intended tackle but its
a YC and no more - it's a trip. There is no contact with the
leading foot and it's not 2 footed.
