Good call to disallow City's 2nd goal. Akanji clearly pushed
Allison and i think everyone would expect a free-kick in that
scenario.

No such thing as an easy half in the PL, especially when you
have 2 huge teams playing. He did make it look so easy though.

I liked the black kit.
Only seen the disallowed goal at the game, ruled out straight
away and VAR confirmed the decision fairly quickly.
Generally, Mr Kavanagh seemed to try and keep the game flowing
where possible, even if he let one or two things go, which
others might have blown for. Preferable to the alternative and
the game was played in good spirit, never looked like losing his
grip.
The only query I would have is when play was stopped for the
possible head injury. When play resumed, the ball was given back
to Man City in their final third, close to the affected player,
rather than just into the Liverpool half where Foden was in
possession at the time of the whistle. Was that the correct
place to re-start?

I'll be honest and say that Chris Kavanagh is not one of my
favourite refs, however I think he had an excellent game today.
