Not directly relevant but there was a handball in the penalty
area in the Championship yesterday which was very similar to the
Newport v Boro incident and which, from side on, was a penalty
all day long. What was interesting was the lack of reaction from
the players and the officials which lends weight to an
understanding as to why Stuart missed the handball at Newport.
Mea culpa but I cannot remember which Championship game it was,
I must be getting old ;D
Edit - Stoke v WBA. Barry involved in the incident and Jeremy
Simpson was the ref (performance already commented on elsewhere
under General Discussion).

Just catching up on MOTD and it looks like Mr Atwell missed
another handball at the Brighton/Burnley game...from the tv
angle it looks like he was looking straight at it

He was, but on the blind side. His AR was on the open side but
appeared to be blocked by at least one player.

soon enough!

Genuine question without agenda but is Mr Atwell just having a
run of bad luck or does he need to look at his positioning?

For the Brighton incident, the ball was between him and his AR
and he was within a credible distance, probably just unlucky.
