Terrible appointing from Webb/Moss, Taylor and Gillett together
after a performance which resulted on Taylors trip to Preston in
their last pairing! Was always a recipe for disaster

Seems City are the only team to get penalties for 'holding'.
Poor from Taylor to give it but Gillett should be intervening as
the Chlsea player is clearly fouled first

Only one team gets these penalties.
Any other team and one of the 2 prior incidents would have been
given and the penalty rescinded. In fact either in this game or
after the international break, this exact incident will happen
identically again and...... it will not be given as a penalty.
Like what happened a couple of weeks ago.

For me this is one why you have VAR, you cannot in any way
criticise Taylor for giving that. When the ball is played he
can't have eyes everywhere, when they naturally land on
Cucherella and Haaland, the former if hoiking the latter back
and he gives what he sees.
With the benefit of the video you get to see the build up and
the advantage Haaland gets by committing the first foul. For me
that one's on Gillet which is a shame for the game as Taylor had
been sensational till then (and since).

How on earth is VAR not spotting the initial foul by Haaland.
I’m sorry there is no excuse.
Either VAR is not seeing it with unlimited angles and replays,
or they haven’t got the nerve, courage, bottle or whatever you
want to call it to overrule the decision.
Either way they are absolutely not fit to be a VAR.

I’m at the game. No one has any clue why it was given (we don’t
get any replays of it) but it seemed a clear foul by Doku first.
No idea what happened after that but the crowd and Chelsea
players were incandescent. Cucurella was motioning that he was
grabbed.
If a penalty is given then is it not a red card as well?

Man City are a top team, they really shouldn't need help from
the officials. Yet they seem to keep being the beneficiaries of
incredibly soft penalties that happen every week and no one else
gets given.
Just when we nearly had a week without any major controversy in
the PL

Walker somehow has escaped without a booking despite repeatedly
infringements.
City’s 3rd goal came after Gallagher was fouled right in front
of the assistant who gave the penalty for much less.
Consistency?!

It's shocking that Taylor was appointed to the game in the first
place...

Hmm, I am not sure anyone who is watching this is currently
thinking that - he is contributing to a cracking game.
