Excuse from stockley saying they don’t have a camera angle that
can see it! What an absolute shambles! There is 1 replay that
shows the ball clearly out, isn’t that evidence enough?
Attwell with a terrible performance on the pitch not helped by a
useless incompetent tv hub!

Find it very strange how they can seemingly make space for a ton
of cameras in that stadium but don’t have one with a view down
the line. It seems like a no brainer to have one fixed in that
position as standard.
As for the rest of the game, sadly a typical Attwell showing.
Never feel he commands the respect of the players in the same
way others might (particularly how those with a fifa badge
should)

Var rearing it’s head in controversy’s again and this isn’t me
being biased but from the angle they had the ball went out of
play for Newcastles goal can clearly see it, it wasn’t a foul
and there was 2 Newcastle players behind the gk it shouldn’t of
stood

So VAR didn't have a camera angle that showed if the ball was in
or out of play and VAR also didn't have a camera angle that
showed if it was offside. Where are the cameras and what do they
show? The Sky?

On the ball out of play incident, I recall something in the last
World Cup where this came to prominence and the importance isn’t
just the bottom of the ball but whether any part of it is still
above the line. I seem to recall some technology involved in
demonstrating the section of the ball still overhanging the line
on that occasion. So there will be occasions where you can see
grass between the ball and the line but that’s not definitive.
On that basis, I guess they’ve concluded that it can’t be
definitively said that the whole ball crossed the line so the on
field decision had to stand.
For me, there was no foul from Joelinton on Gabriel but the
offside call would have been the most credible reason to
disallow the goal but again it seems that there was insufficient
evidence to rule conclusively that it was offside.
On the game as a whole, not sure how 22 players remained on the
pitch at the end. Bruno was very lucky with his antics at the
end of the first half, somehow not getting a yellow card until
89 mins and Havertz was also lucky after his poor challenge and
yellow card in the first half and a second unsanctioned one just
after half time.

There’s probably enough material from this game alone to fill an
episode of “Match Officials Mic’d up”

And more material to confirm VAR isn’t fit for purpose….

As for Mr Areteta he should show some support for the officials
making decisions which is what he told Klopp to do the other
week

Havertz lucky he doesn't make contact with his first leg he goes
in with. If he does he goes
