Odd to see 3 yellows for dissent to Newcastle players in one
incident. TV has not shown why Gordon and Longstaff were booked
so I suppose it must be something said rather than wild visible
protestation - only Mr Attwell will know so can’t really argue.
Schar’s yellow was fair enough as his protests very visibly over
the top. Nasty tackle from Havertz but yellow probably right.

Reckless or dangerous? You can sell reckless but tackles like
that have the potential to injure a player. When is Reckless
dangerous? When someone gets hurt? Correct decision for me but
just.

Come on, if you can't recognise Havertz tackle as a clear red
card (foul as an 'attack'), then I'm not sure what to say...
Extremely naive performance from Attwell in many instances (no
caution to Burn, crazy advantage for an off-the-ball foul as the
match hotted up, no RC Havertz, those mounting Newcastle
cautions afterwards, no RC to Guimarães for a pretty open and
shut case of VC). Match control at roughly zero. Too poor
performance, sorry.

Worse than Gusto / Jones tackles that resulted in red cards IMO.
Guimaraes (one of the dirtiest players in the league) then gets
away with a clear and deliberate forearm / elbow on Jorginho. No
idea how that wasn’t a red card on review.

He hasn't "lost control", if anyone has lost control it is the
players.
I think the challenge was reckless, had his heading leg made
contact he would have been in way more trouble, but the contact
was with the trailing leg. Certainly no way VAR could say the
caution was a clear and obvious error.
Pretty sure Gordon was cautioned for his part in the
confrontation following the foul rather than dissent. The two
cautions for dissent both came after VAR had finished their
check, this is sheer stupidity from the players as there is no
way the referee will be changing his mind at that point.
Especially for the second one, he's just seen his team mate get
a card for dissent and comes in and has a go himself, it is
ridiculous.
Guimaraes is a very lucky boy not to be sent off the VC. Seems
they cleared it because it was forearm rather than elbow, but he
has still struck an opponent in the head off the ball.

It’s a clear red for me. Havertz is flying through the air, both
feet off the ground. If that’s not reckless and dangerous I
don’t know what is.
I’m really struggling to see how anyone can think that’s only a
yellow, but plenty do, so I guess we all see things differently

I think Havertz can go in the category of Orange I don’t think
it was a red, Bruno was lucky on a few occasions the elbow on
Jorginho, and then kicked the ball away and then retaliated

The word from VAR is that the goal could have been offside, but
there was no acceptable camera angle catching the point
Joelinton made contact with the ball. Breaking news: nobody
knows anything.
