Good use of VAR and teamwork there by Brooks and Gillett in my
opinion on the subjective offside. Definitely was worth a trip
to the monitor and the right decision was came to. The most
scandalous thing about this game so far is the decision of TNT
Sports to continue paying Jermaine Jenas to work for them!

Was it or wasn’t the chalked off goal offside? Personally I
thought it was, Maguire was affecting the play so a correct
decision for me.
But, why did it take so long? It was a marginal call yes, but
the process too laborious and the fans were getting irritated.
One thing I will say though, Man Utd are very out of form and
the marginal calls go against you when you’re not playing well.
It has always been the case and it will continue to be the case.

I’m sorry but if that’s offside then the game is finished!
Neither the United nor the Fulham player are ever getting to the
ball. A perfectly good goal rules out after 4 minutes of
watching replays. I know the rules but no one anywhere is going
to persuade me that that decision is correct. Scandalous!

If you feel VAR is rubbish, perhaps you would like to elaborate?
This was excellent use of VAR, allowing the onfield official to
make the decision regarding a subjective incident.
Maguire was offside. He interfered with play to some extent.
Goal disallowed. Correct. My son is a United supporter and he
agrees, albeit reluctantly!

I thought the TNT experts at half time summed it up well
including Rio Ferdinand. Took their time, which is frustrating,
and got it right. Maguire tried to play the ball having been
offside.
Brooks is trying to let the game flow. It needs something!

Absolutely brilliant from Brooks to spot Maguire feeling the
effects of a head injury and making him get medical attention.
A brilliant showing so far from team ref in general!
