       Leeds vs. Leicester, Dean Whitestone

Whitestone was definitely right to play on in the penalty area
incident that Sky just showed at halftime - you can see how
deliberately the Leeds attacker put his right foot down on the
ground (especially relative to where the ball was), waiting to
generate a contact with the defender. No foul; correct play on
(and as the pundits said, his position was optimal there).
However, I think Daniel Farke had some justification to his
protests which brought him a caution, it seems like Whitestone
missed a clear foul on the later counterattack. While the
commentators were talking about a 'possible penalty', the foul
looked outside the penalty box to me - and also a potential
       DOGSO too...

Fairly good showing from Mr Whitestone, I think he got all the
big calls spot on and tried to allow the game to flow. I was
very surprised this game didn’t have an SG1 official in the
middle, but Whitestone handled it well in the main.
I saw him described in another thread as a safe pair of hands,
and I think that’s what he is. However, it does feel like he
needs to stamp his authority on the game a bit more if he wants
to take his game to the next level. At times, particularly in
the second half, it felt like the players were dictating the
game. Very little effort from Whitestone to speed up the
restarting of the game, several stoppages that were allowed to
dwell for way too long. Also thought, because of my previous
point, that the added time was lower than it should have been.
Overall a reasonable day at the office, certainly more positives
       than negatives.
