Hodskinson or Antrobus.

The AR with the yellow flag at Sunderland.
What looked to be a dreadful error not flagging for an offside
leading to the Norwich goal turned out to be an excellent spot
that the player concerned ran back from an offside position
without touching the ball leaving his team mate a clear run and
cross.
Other than that he was decidedly average.
......and don't get me started on referee Backhouse.
No yellow card to a Norwich defender who prevented the taking of
a Sunderland free kick or a RC for a defender throwing a punch
at Dan Ballard just before the end.

It was a great wait and see by Antrobus.
The attacker was offside but had no impact.

Going to take back my negative remark about Anthony Backhouse.
I read an interview given by Sunderland player Dan Neil who at
half time when going down the tunnel respectfully asked the
referee what his thoughts were regarding the "offside" leading
up to the Norwich goal with a perfectly rational explanation
given before each going there seperate ways.....
Player happy and it appears a good rapport shown by Mr
Backhouse.
Same player sent off three weeks ago for asking the same
question against Middlesbrough.

Perhaps the way the question was asked might have been
significant? In cases of dissent / OFFINABUS it was often less
important what was said but the way in which it was said.

I’m not too sure he was even in an offside position, he
definitely didn’t impact based on how it’s defined.

Not at all but the post came from a post match interview.
What would there be to gain if the player concerned was being
economical with the truth?

I never said he was, but how do you know he was respectful and
what does it have to do with his conduct in the Middlesbrough
match?

Because he asked the same question of two different referees.
One was quite happy to give feedback..........the other three
weeks ago sent him off.
