       T.Kirk - Salford v Crewe

Now, I hate booing referees because I am one myself, but my god
Tom Kirk was awful. Does it help the fact that he’s from
Manchester, and he’s been to Salford games via his Facebook?
(Edited:Questioning referee’s integrity is not acceptable on
this forum ). When we scored, the linesman took along time to
give offside, and Crewe players were complaining about it
because it never looked off, Tom allows them to play on and
       they score! What a joke.

Get a grip. Going to one Salford game 5 years ago doesn't make
him a Salford fan. I'm a referee and I've been to lots of games
where I don't support either team, does that automatically mean
I support those teams? If so I'd better go and buy about 15
       scarves.
Some of the bitter fan posts today are ridiculous.

Understand that, and maybe I was high in emotions at that point,
but the whole performance was poor.

Referee's are not permitted to enjoy games as neutral
       spectators, only ruin them.

In actual fact Mr Kirk is not a Manchester Resident but from a
leafy suburb of Cheshire, the same suburb in which he was born
and, other than a period working in the USA, he has resided all
       his life.

Leaving aside the comments above, I was less than impressed by
Mr Kirk's performance in a Doncaster Rovers match earlier this
season. Ten yellow cards in a match that wasn't dirty. Maybe he
took PGMOL's crackdown to heart, but if it had happened in a
Premier League game, everyone would have been shouting about
       it.
That said, he's a paragon of good refereeing if you've seen Ed
       Duckworth in action!

At least we didn't give Ed Duckworth a chance to be anything
other than good on Saturday, by not making a tackle worthy of
it's name and going 4-0 down in just over half an hour to
effectively render the last hour of the game a stroll in the
park for all concerned and quite possibly the easiest days work
a referee will have all season!
Not a yellow card in sight for either team.
