Extremely poor decision for the Blues penalty, not quite sure
what he thought he saw.
The Blues player appeared to lose his footing and then just
normal contact with the West Brom defender.
There were no appeals for a penalty from the Blues players and
everyone was expecting a corner.
This had a major impact upon the game as this was Blues' way
back into the game.
I'm sure he will be very disappointed when he sees it back.

Thinking the same. That said apart from the penalty he had
another solid game, a typical derby match but he kept a good
grip on things and let the players play.
Interestingly I have seen on another site that someone is
arguing it was a valid penalty as the defender launched in with
2 feet and was not in control of his actions. He may not have
touched the attacker but was still guilty of dangerous play. I
think its a rather tenuous argument but wonder what others feel

If that is JJ's view then it's a definite penalty - out of
control. 2 footed tackle
