D WEBB - Leeds v QPR

I thought I’d take in this match on the red button and another
solid show from Webb.
He goes about his business with minimal fuss. I’m surprised he’s
not had a shot at a premier league match.
However, given the one camera view only it wasn’t clear on
whether Begovic made any contact with Bamford outside the box.
However once the foul is given it has to be a red for DOGSO.
Lyndon Dykes is now in goal.

Plymouth had him at hull at the weekend and the difference in
standard between him and mr Langford last night is about as wide
as the English Channel. I agree totally with your assessment.

Well it looks like there was no contact between Bamford and
Begovic so the red was a poor decision.
Will definitely get rescinded and luckily no major damage done
given the red was in the 93rd minute.

I don't think Webb can be criticised for the red card in all
fairness. It looked like a foul to just about everyone in the
ground and even took numerous replays to definitively show there
was no contact. Bamford told Ainsworth there was no contact and
that he was just trying to avoid the tackle. Which is
understandable considering the tackle on him when he came on,
along with his injury record.
Ainsworth:
QPR boss Ainsworth says Bamford admits he didn’t get touched by
Begovic who says is a great lad and just tried to get out of the
way. Hopes to successfully appeal red card.

There was no where near any contact between Begovic and Bamford
