       T REEVES - Doncaster v Everton (EFL)

       Oh dear, that’s a pretty poor missed offside flag from Fyvie for
       the Doncaster goal.
       Reeves has done ok, however he did blow a smidge too early when
       Doncaster broke and were away for a foul.

       A good (old-fashioned?) lower league v top flight cup tie, and
       thankfully Everton finally scored a goal this season.
       Personally, and speaking as an Evertonian (in case you hadn't
       guessed already), I thought Mr Reeves had a bit of a poor game.
       He missed a handball by Mykolenko in the second half, although,
       to be fair, he may not have had a good view of it. I thought he
       should have also given a couple of more yellow cards than he did
       (especially for Rowe's late tackle on Ashley Young in the second
       half).  He did appear to be trying to let the game flow (which
       is a good thing IMO), but it felt like he was trying too hard to
       the detriment of his performance.
       However, the linesman Mr Fyvie had a terrible game.  Failed to
       flag for a clear offside for Doncaster's goal and then flagged
       for a throw-in in the second half when Everton were breaking
       away (for once) and the ball had clearly not crossed the
       touchline.

       I thought Tom Reeves had a really good game. He only produced
       one card, quite correctly, for time-wasting. Mr Fyvie missed a
       clear offside when Joe Ironside put Rovers ahead. He's an
       assistant we often see at Doncaster, and I have never rated him.
       Perhaps not quite as bad as the AR we had recently who looked at
       the referee most of the time when awarding throw-ins. So far out
       of his depth only the top of his head was visible!
