I think it's more to do with the limited options to do games
like those instead of him and Michael Oliver.

I don’t think just because Taylor and Oliver have Man City and
Arsenal this week that they will be ruled out from Man City vs
Arsenal, it’s over a month away. Pawson, Tierney or Attwell
could get it anyway or someone like Brooks.
There is also a NLD before that and a Manchester Derby shortly
after.

He's not on the list of appointments for this week.

Yes, exactly that.
I remember where there was a period around 2008 where Webb
seemed to do virtually all the highest profile games for a while
and I don't think it's an especially desirable situation. I
think you'd ideally want at least half a dozen or so referees
who you could rotate these games around rather than it mainly
just being Taylor and Oliver.

perhaps he getting the games because he's a better referee.
I am sure Mr Webb will take into account your opinions on future
occasions
[/quote]
A slightly ridiculous take on things, Keith H. This is a message
board where we put our opinions. It’s the whole point of the
board, surely? We may not agree with everything but everyone is
entitled to their opinion. Disagree and give your reasons,
that’s what makes this forum one of the best. But to reply as
you have done, “I’m sure Mr Webb will take your opinions into
account in future”, is catty at best, but rather pathetic if I’m
being honest

It is sometimes said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but
I disagree with that statement because I have rarely found
sarcasm to be witty at all. Whenever I have said this to someone
who has aimed sarcasm at me they invariably reply something
along the lines of " I wasn't intending to be witty " which
leaves me thinking they simply wanted to demean me and in that
they have failed though possibly may have inflicted it on
themselves.

The irony that 1 person agreed and 1 person disagreed makes this
potentially the most truthful opinion ever posted on here
