Dramatic Headlines of the Week
Rising star Gillett returns to the fold
Current star Oliver nowhere to be seen
Hooper and Bond banished to EFL for their miserable failings
Salisbury banished from VAR duties and forced back onto the
pitch
Evil VAR England to watch Fulham again
Missy BMB favourites Kavanagh and Marriner (only joking) missing
again

Was it ever confirmed exactly what role Marriner now has?
I'd forgotten that Swarbrick had retired too so now there's no
specialist VARs at all! Not that the ones who ended up doing it
last season were necessarily especially good at it. I'm a bit
surprised Webb hasn't added some more VARs from elsewhere to the
group.

Given 70% of the referees are in the North West it would have
been a trek for almost whoever they appointed 😂

But when you have all day Friday to do the journey down, it's
not really an issue is it?

that’s some journey for Taylor down from Greater Manchester to
Brighton then back up early morning to Burnley for the trek back
north for 1400 kick off, some sort of long trek for brooks down
to Stockley park then back up the A1/M1 to Tyneside for the game
