I’m sure Breakspear enjoyed his match at Wrexham today!

Lots of close, high scoring games, as well as at least 2 games
       of 9 YCs or more

Apparently AR1 in the first half , ref after 55 minutes (per
Pompey Twitter/X). 21 minutes added time to be played
       [/quote]
Who took over as ref? Mark Derrien or 4O?

Not sure I’m afraid, I’m sure it’ll be covered on the highlights
later though so I hope to find out then :)

Crewe V Walsall. I had high hopes for Sam considering he's had
championship games and I think today he was not 100%. If the
referees are suppose to be clamping down on time wasting, then
why when there was 2 goals, 1 injury and a stop-start game
resulting in only 3 mins added? Second half, Sam really
should've clamped down on time wasting even more! The Walsall
keeper was taking the mick with how much he was wasting time!
All Sam did, every time, was point at watch and tell him to
hurry up. He didn't book him at all. I'm a new youth referee
myself, and it isn't very good to see top level referees not
booking a keeper for wasting, I'd say, around 3 mins all
together. Walsall were going down at every opportunity, trying
to con Sam, which he fell for every single time. To make matters
worse, like I said before, if refs are to continue with added
time, then they should be consistent but no. 6 mins were added
in the second half. I said to the person next to me, " with all
the stoppages and time wasting, then there should be at least
9/10 mins added." Referees need to be consistent with additional
       time.

Apologies but a correction to what I reported earlier from
Portsmouth’s Twitter feed - their official match report now
reports it was 2 ARs that went off injured and not the referee.
Maybe the highlights will reveal what actually happened!

It'll probably be the main football story all week, given
       Wrexham were involved...

Not Carl Brook’s best day but not an offensive showing. A really
feisty game at times so a difficult one to manage. No major
KMI’s incorrect but felt he should have taken more action when
the game overstepped the “let them play” approach in the first
half. That led to a second half full of yellows as the theme
continued. I do like the new directives but in my opinion Carl
let too much go at times. The only incident I do think the team
got wrong was missing Eisa (who had just been booked for dissent
a few seconds earlier) taking off his strapping/wristbands and
throwing them in the direction of Carl, who was facing the other
way. Further action I think would have been required if spotted
       by AR1 or 4O.

That makes it three assistants in two matches this week at
Fratton Park who have had to be replaced due to injury. It isn't
often that officials are required to be replaced so that is some
       going.

Same touchline? If so then maybe it needs looking at, could be
something, a bit of a dip or something, that is having a bad
       effect.
