Isn't Nigel Lugg on Leigh Doughty's team SG2?
On a separate subject, looking at the list of refs on the
National list neither James Oldham nor Anthony Coggins appear.
Have they left the list? I believe James Oldham had injury
issues last season. I really rated him so I hope he doesn't
suffer the same fate as Michael Naylor and James Adcock.

Anthony Coggins hasn't refereed in the EFL for almost two years.
James Oldham's last game was on 15th April.
I know that doesn't really answer your question, but someone
else may know more.

Yes James is still on the list. He is one of the leaders of the
Derbyshire CORE group under Rob Shoebridge so has been doing
that whilst injured.
Not sure he has taken the fitness test yet but I’ll find out

Coggins officially retired at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Decent performance from Marc Edwards today. A lot of stoppages
led to 9 minutes added time in each half which was a lot but
justified with the new way of timekeeping. No concerns with his
performance, let contact go at times where the whistle would
have been blown in previous seasons and will be interested to
compare to other upcoming games. If I had one constructive note,
he pulled back for a free kick a couple of times after I would
say the advantage had been played but a minor comment.

I took a trip to Port Vale Vs Reading and what a fantastic
referee Peter Wright is. He doesn't look that old...
He gave a penalty to Reading which was stonewall and no one
could complain about. He dealt with any little issues before
they became bigger issues. What really stood out was how he did
not fall for the Andy Carroll tricks of throwing himself to the
floor. Also, the great advantage he played for the Port Vale
goal.
A couple of easy cautions one for a high foot and another for a
challenge that stopped a counter attack. Even the Reading
assistant manager got cautioned for speaking out of turn.
Maybe one for the future... He can certainly get around the
pitch with ease and had the respect from players as he was happy
to communicate with them.

of the televised match at Fratton Park this evening.

I seem to recall he got an injury quite late on in the season
last season so hope it's nothing serious or a recurrence for
him.
