Looks like Mr Rhodes is in his 6th season on the NL, which must
be pretty rare given the transient nature of this league.
Would imply good, safe but nothing spectacular

You might end up with Kettle Junior visiting Spotland if he
continues to progress up vine ladder!

As I've said every time it getss mentioned, we only really had
an issue with Kettle senior in his first season on the list.
Subsequent games saw him officiate to a more than accepted
standard.

Let me help you:
Garreth Rhodes is from York, an Operations Manager for a
construction company. As a youngster he had trials with
professional clubs and represented West Riding County FA at U18
level. He didn’t make it into the professional game but went on
to play for Tadcaster Albion and Selby Town in the Northern
Counties East League. Injuries brought his playing career to a
premature end and he started refereeing in 2008. After 10 years
he reached his current level of Panel Select referee and is now
starting his 6th season at National League level. His very first
match, Gateshead v Dover was cardless – a feat he has only
managed once again in his subsequent 79 games !

I noticed on the highlights in TNT sports that Richie Watkins
was wearing yellow at Southend. I always thought officials had
to wear black at this level so I assume this has changed for
this season.

Yer I noticed in pre season that Woking had a black kit so must
of changed now they can wear a colour

And also noted that Watkins had last seasons shirt on and not
this season, as it had ea sports and the new ea sports logo
