National league kits

I was watching Bunch of Amateurs coverage of Dorking (it’s
called Dorking Uncovered) a while ago and I noticed one of the
referees, he gets quite close to the camera. You can see that
he’s wearing the old shirt and the old shorts. (The shirt has
the buttons on and the shorts have the white tick)
Would this be allowed? I believe the two other assistants were
wearing the new kits.
I know it’s a bit fussy and I don’t really care- I was just
wondering if he might get told off afterwards? I’ve never seen a
referee of that level (who I believe are provided kits) not wear
the correct kit.

If it is like it was when I was at that level they only get
given a shirt, not shorts or socks. I'm not aware of any
specific versions being worn, as long as they are black
obviously.

Step 1 Referees and ARs are issued with a full kit which
includes spares. Not clear why those in the clip are in
different kits, it's not usual and may be down to individual
error.
