       Kits / Badges etc

Seems that Level 2 to 4 Officials are being given kits to wear.
Also that only they can wear the FAMOA badge.
Seems to me it would be better to give kits to newly qualified
/ trainee Referees who won't already have one.
       I'm L5, nearer 60 than 50 with over 30 years refereeing
experience and not going to get promoted
Seems possible that anyone below Level 4 now is almost surplus
       to requirements.
Anyone else any views on this?

Why do those below 4 need to be given kit?

Not suggesting that they necessarily do.
Just seems that already active officials will have kits whilst
new / trainee referees may not ( it's another cost on top of
       course, equipment etc)
If, as it seems, officials below L4 aren't allowed to wear the
FAMOA badge, is that going to necessitate us buying a new shirt?

Please tell me there’s more than just me finds the new badge
       hideous!

It's a shame how ugly the new badge is.

You only need a County badge assuming you even get new kit.
Below 4, the rules aren't as stringent.

I am aware of all the points you've made about levels, badges
       etc.
As I alluded to I'm coming toward the conclusion of my
refereeing journey. However I'm not alone, I believe, in being
concerned that a lot of people who go out every weekend covering
grass roots football feel that as they're not 'on the treadmill,
looking for progress' they're being cast aside like so many old
       socks.
We have kits, more than one and don't probably need another one
so that element is irrelevant. However being told we can no
longer wear shirts we bought with our own money if they have the
FAMOA badge on may to certain people feel like a kick in the
teeth. Kits aren't cheap, many people I know can only afford to
replace theirs every 2 or maybe 3 seasons.
       Right, latest moan over

Where does it say, below 4, that you cannot wear FAMOA?
