       Agreed, my database is meant as a point of interest rather than

       BURNLEY BATTLE IS HIS LAST GAME
       after twelve years as a League referee, Hugh Gerrard, 47, of
       Preston, handles his last game tonight, and he could not have
       picked a bigger farewell. He's in charge of the Manchester City
       - Burnley clash (Burnley won 2-1 to take the title)

       Many thanks. Hugh Gerrard had an honourable 10 years as a full
       FL referee + 2 years as a supplementary. We were abroad in 1960,
       but I do vaguely remember the Man City v Burnley game and
       getting the scoreline several days later, no instant scores in
       those days in the tropics! I will include Hugh (F H Gerrard) on
       my database of final games.
