SG1 Referee Stats

Ahead of the final week of the season, I have gathered together
all of the stats for OFR's this season in the PL, as well as the
VARs responsible.
First Page has the list of all reviews and their reasoning-
those highlighted in red indicating rejected reviews
Second Page has the stats for each Referee/ VAR
Third Page looks at all the matches between the traditional top
6 games
Fourth Page looks at stats for these
Took a while to complete so hope you enjoy

Used Dale Johnsons posts to find all the reviews, there where a

I had done some SG1 stats too, calculating PL, FL & LC games
(cant seem to find FAC stats) to see who gives the most yellow
cards per game
The Top 5 YC P/G are;
Bankes (4.32 cards from 31 games)
Coote (4.03 cards from 29 games)
Jones (4.00 cards per game from 29 games)
Taylor (3.97 cards per game from 29 games)
Brooks (3.96 cards per game from 26 games)
The bottom 5 YC per game are;
Kavanagh (3.32 cards per game from 19 games)
Bramall (3.27 cards per game from 26 games)
Scott (3.17 cards per game from 18 games)
Gillet (2.96 cards per game from 23 games)
Oliver (2.84 cards per game from 31 games)

Tierney is clearly over used. Surprising Oliver is top of the
reviews list
Coote and Bankes are very strict referees. Oliver giving out the
least cards is not a surprise

Some surprising ones, Pawson looks a bit out of favour this
season, Marriner hardly done any, Kavanagh/Harrington obviously
had injuries.
Surprised Taylor hasn't done the same amount of games as Oliver.

I'm surprised by how few games, relative to some people, England
has done. I thought he was being pushed quite hard not so long
ago. Has he been injured ? Kavanagh also seems to be rather
light but I think I do recall a fitness problem for him.

Hooper’s rise up the pecking order is astonishing. He is clearly
trusted more for the big affairs than the occupants or previous
holders ( loosely put) of the shiny white badges.
Gillett hasn’t had a blockbuster game yet and should be getting
them next season.

Gillett had Newcastle vs Man City where he didn’t have his best
performance

I too am staggered at how few games England has had. Even brooks
has had more. To think the likes of Bankes and Coote have done
over 20 games beggars belief - England is a far better referee!

I like Darren Englands style. I am surprised how few games he
has had.
