Coming to the end of the season with lots still to be decided,
with the title, top 4, top 6 and relegation all up for grabs.
Lots of debate around who can and can’t referee teams. SG1
Officials who don’t do certain teams:
Michael Oliver- Newcastle
Jarred Gillett- Liverpool/Everton
Peter Bankes- Liverpool/Everton
Rob Jones- Liverpool/ Everton
Michael Salisbury- Liverpool/Everton
Andre Marriner- Aston Villa
David Coote- Nottingham Forest
John Brooks- Leicester
ARS
Neil Davies- Liverpool/Everton
Ian Hussin- Liverpool/Everton
Dan Cook- Man United/Man City
Any others I have missed?
Makes it difficult to choose where to put officials

Why are there so many officials that can't do Liverpool/Everton?
Jarred Gillett is Australian so i don't get that one for
example!

I can't find any records of John Brooks doing any Leicester
matches (either as referee or when he was an assistant)- I know
he's based near there but unconfirmed whether it's just a
coincidence or him actually being a supporter/prevented from
officiating them.

You would have to assume he supports one of them, and if he
supports one he can't really referee the other. Can you imagine
the furore if a confirmed Liverpool fan was appointed to an
Everton game, or vice versa?

He’s registered with the Liverpool FA as well….

He’s a Leicester supporter.

Also highlights the urgent need for Southern based officials to
be elevated into SG1.
