A SOARES DIAS: RMA V MCI

This is disastrous so far. For me SFP missed on Bernardo Silva,
not even a YC. Based off what I learned following my comments on
Leicester Everton last week, advantage probably shouldn't have
been played with Rudiger foul on edge of box, again no YC
afterwards. Finally, RMA 3v2 against City going forward and
pulls back for an injury which should've been a foul in the 1st
       place!
Grealish and Carvajal should've been booked, Grealish for
lashing out and Caravjal for foul no attempt at ball. Dias has
got every major point wrong so far.

He's having a right old stinker out there isn't he! I can't put
my finger on it but he is really irritating me. His refereeing
style and man management is very annoying.

Losing control due to his reluctance to caution Carvajal.
Missed caution for Bernardo as well. Missed clear fouls on
Stones and Gundogan - both of which could have resulted in
       yellow cards too.

Excellent call to spot the simulation by Kroos, so why no second
       caution?

Hmmm I don’t think he’s been as bad as some of you are making
out. It was always going to be a difficult game and he’s largely
kept it under control. He hasn’t fallen for any of the pathetic
       Madrid antics.

That was the worst performance I've seen from a ref since the
Lahoz blowup in Qatar. Dias wasn't great in Dublin in March, yet
tonight was a whole new level of questionable.

It wasn't good but I think everyone's getting a bit
       over-dramatic about the performance.
The Bernardo tackle is not SFP in modern UEFA. There's no force
in the challenge, it will likely be a missed yellow but not
going to be a missed red. The question of whether it should be a
red isn't one you can direct at Soares Dias.
There wasn't a wrong KMD, and in fact some very well judged no
penalty decisions when Madrid players were losing the plot about
       what is a punishable handball.
Did he negatively affect the match? Not really. Did he
positively affect the match? Not really. It was a weak
performance for an Elite UEFA referee but not a disaster.

So did he have a good game or not? It’s really hard to tell

It certainly wasn't acceptable for a UCL semi final.

       This adds to the trouble.
