I got a bit annoyed with the commentators saying that Casemiro
should have had a second caution. The law is very clear that if
you play advantage for a foul that stops a promising attack you
cannot go back and caution, the logic being that the promising
attack still happened so the foul didn't stop it. You can only
go back if the foul was reckless, which it clearly wasn't, or a
red card offence in which case you wouldn't play the advantage
anyway unless they are about to immediately score.
The same on calls for a second caution for Shaw. It could only
be for a handling offence that stopped a promising attack. How
has handling a header from close to the edge of the area that
has pretty much no chance of going in the goal stopped a
promising attack when it has resulted in a penalty that has
around an 80% chance of a goal? Far from stopping a promising
attack, it has upgraded a nothing attack into a fantastic one.

Andre must be getting mighty close to 400 PL games. Do we know
how many he has to go after last night? If he is retiring at the
end of the season, it would be good if he could get to the 400
before he goes.

According to a few newspaper reports dd 21.3.23 he had done 386
games, i believe he has only done 2 since, everton v newcastle
and lastnights brighton v man utd.

I suspect he will finish on 390 - shame really, would love him
to have made 400. Maybe he will stay for 1 more season (or
chose to retire in December so he can reach that significant
milestone but I doubt it, sadly!) It's not been confirmed if he
is or isn't retiring as yet but my heart tells me that he more
than likely will.

Still one of the best in the SG and invariably a safe pair of
hands. The way he heads been treated in recent months isn’t very
good and if I were him, target or not, I would seriously
consider my position. Still they have to get rid of some to make
way for Robert Madley to rejoin the SG as is clearly the aim
