You may be interested to know that the Burrell Collection
re-opens to the public today following an extensive
refurbishment.

Excellent; one of the finest Collections in the Kingdom. I think
a trip to Glasgow, a city I like very much, might be in order
for later in the year if the airfares are reasonable

Air,Whistleblower!Shame.
Try rail-quite cheap from Leeds,via
Carlisle.Also,Oxenhope-Glasgow is usually a bargain[but not this
Easter as most trains are off due to engineering works].With
wonderful timing,NW fans cant get to Wembley........

The last time I checked the price of a return rail fare from
London to Scotland one needed to contemplate a second mortgage
to afford it. Perhaps the Trainline or one of the other
companies selling advance tickets might be more reasonable. I
live quite close to Luton and there are some attractively
priced airfares on the budget airlines though I do appreciate
the environmental factors.

As you may have deduced, I wouldn't be starting from Leeds. That
perhaps might be the prerogative of our fellow RTR correspondent

I did not know where you would start from,but I hoped the advice
could be helpful.Trainline can be useful and don't forget split
ticketing!

Thank you. Done a little bit of research and even with some of
the advance ticketing sites and a railcard it is still
considerably more expensive, and of course longer, than flying
from Luton. It says something about our national transport
system I think.
