Azpilicueta it’s no surprise, useless official.

The Recording hasn’t found any evidence of any wrongdoing on
Tierneys part, Its very wrong to assume he was guilty based on
klopps word. He is innocent til proven guilty.

I wonder if it is coming to the point where referees need to
take strike action
As it seems the premier league, pgmol and fa seem unable to back
them to do the right thing thus endangering officials at grass
roots level.
The level of behaviour of teams incl their management is
extremely poor, not a good look for the outside world and has
got much worse since the pgmol have gone down the route of
managing games instead of refereeing by the letter of the law.
Am i over reacting ? Thoughts ?

Watching the highlights, I am surprised Jota did not get a red
card but of course that is based on how I think the Law should
be applied. Jota put his boot in very high in an area where he
could expect to make contact with a player's head. But, how
often does that happen during a game, that is a player raises
his boot very high? Richarlison headed Spurs third goal in but a
Liverpool player was using a forceful boot at head level to
clear the ball. No action for same action as Jota's, but still
potentially dangerous.
Rugby is worried about head injuries and do not hesitate to get
the red cards out to protect players. Heat of the moment action
is irrelevant, you are penalised on the outcome with clear
guidelines in place to referees. Football should go down this
route before someone gets hurt. Players have a duty of care and
Jota must have known he was potentially going to make contact
with someone's bonce. If his thought process in the heat of the
moment was purely focused on getting the ball, then a red card
would give him 3 matches to reflect. It would send a message to
all players and coaches and as in rugby, and possibly introduce
a change in culture. I must not endanger the safety of another
player.

This is absolutely ridiculous.
Firstly, the audacity to call our of our better VAR officials
this year "useless". I don't think I even need to say anymore.
Secondly, surely with all your knowledge you know VAR can't
overrule a foul.
Thirdly, Milner YC was correct.
Finally, the way in which Klopp tried to flee the scene after
making his comments yesterday always suggested he may have
overexaggerated. It now turns out he did do that.
It's clear you have something against Tierney, particularly
after that Tot Liv game 2 years ago. I will say tho, there has
been absolutely no issue with Tierney and Liverpool since then
up until yesterday. What we saw yesterday was just a referee
making a few mistakes, as all do, not anything in anyone's
favour. May I remind you, there is a strong case that the match
winner should've left the pitch 10 minutes earlier.
Everyone, sorry for my rant, it's just this continued hatred
against Tierney and Coote just isn't fair anymore.

Shall we consider who the majority shareholder and source of
funds to PGMOL is?
I believe it's the Premier League, made up of the Clubs, Clubs
which may have a vested interest in the punishment received by
their players perhaps?
Is it in any way possible to contemplate that those Clubs,
acting as The Premier League, might attempt to influence the
PGMOL in some way?

Laughable nonsense is the best way I can describe your post,
jacksamuels21. For you to say it’s unusual for Klopp to react
like that is one of the daftest things I’ve ever read. It
immediately takes all integrity from your post. Klopp is a
serial offender with refs and 4th officials, easily one of the
worst we’ve ever seen. PGMOL have now listened to the recordings
and cleared Tierney of any wrongdoing, which makes Klopp, and
you, look very silly right now

Didn’t see the game so cannot comment on tierney’s overall
display. Seen highlights however: Liverpool penalty was correct,
not a penalty on richarlison who is a serial diver. Not sure on
the jota incident. Must have been 5/6 similar incidents this
season nine of which have produced a red card, e.g. haaland
against Crystal Palace player Jochaim Anderson in October, so
there is consistency there.
As for Klopp I have no time for him. He is a selfish, egoistic
disrespectful bighead who has no boundary between passion and
abuse. He clearly has an anger management issue! The problem for
me is he has been sent off only ONCE, and I can never remember
him ever having a touchline ban. Yet his list of misbehaviours
is quite long: continued abuse towards referees, running onto
and around the pitch to celebrate a goal, pushing other
managers. And yet he gets away with it week week out. I remember
once mourinho when he was man United manager put a foot on the
pitch - he got sent to the stands and a 1match ban.
Who’s to blame? The referees on the pitch, 4th officials who
allow this behaviour to manifest and increase with no sanction.
Also, the fa who excuse this disgusting behaviour with poor
deterrents and punishments. The premier league for forcing
referees to have to put up with continued shocking behaviour on
the sidelines.
I am sick to death of it and has actually made me think twice
about continuing on myself next season, where the consequences
of herr Klopp and co are most felt, grassroots.
Klopp should be spending marco Silva-like time in the stands
reflecting on the way he talks to officials. Maybe the fa should
come up with a respect course for managers as well. But things
will never change whilst the PGMOL is in the hands of the PL
P.s. i wouldn’t have shook his hand either, because if I was
reffing he would have been sent off 3 times

Don't think that is right, pretty sure it it is owned in thirds
equally by the FA, Premier League and Football League.

Marco Silva shouted something at Chris Kavanagh from a distance
and received a red card and a two-match ban, whilst Klopp ran
somewhat aggressively at the 4th official and was 'in his face'
and that's only a yellow? Please explain.

Dermott Gallagher gave his opinion on Paul Tierney and some of
the talking points. He feels Jotta was very lucky not to get a
red card and a similar incident in a European match would result
in a red card. So first question is why the difference? Putting
the case for yellow you could argue that Jota got his foot in
first and the Spurs player invaded Jota's space. Translating,
Jota got there first and controlled that space. Personally,
putting a foot up that high is potentially dangerous and should
be heavily punished especially if contact is made with the head.
As for the yellow for Klopp, Gallagher suggests that it was for
what he said as that was the offence he committed and presumably
the correct card, there being no justification for a red even
though it could be deemed aggressive behaviour!
As always, another point of view or at least an insight into the
referee's thought process and as we know the game is often about
opinions.
