has been an absolute masterclass

I agree he is now in control, however I can’t recall seeing him
so edgy in the opening 10 mins. He didn’t look comfortable or as
confident as normal in his early decisions.

The VAR will have drawn that line but the graphic provided to
the TV company won't show that, because it only displays one
line in situations where the tolerance level has caused the
attacker to be onside.

Not wanting to be critical but how on earth did Partey not get a
second yellow for hauling Harland to the ground. Makes a mockery
of other cards ie Grealish IMHO

Where was the YC to Guardiola for dissent in the first half
wildly throwing his arms about and shouting at the 4O after a
decision went against him?

I must have watched a totally different game. Michael Oliver is
the most naturally laid back referee the game has ever seen, he
never looks anything other than totally in control and relaxed.
At no point did he look "edgy".

I thought Michael Oliver adopted a slightly different style or
manner in his refereeing which was probably appropriate for this
particular game. He was more stern, more demonstrative with his
hand signals.
Personally I wouldn't say he was edgy in the first 10 minutes
thinking of the decisive way he awarded free kick to Arsenal
when City wanted a penalty in those first few minutes. A
decision Clattenburg agreed with.
With regard to the Partey / Haarland incident was he indicating
both players were holding or that initially it was just a
collision? I wasn't sure what to make of that. Both players
didn't seem to make too much of a fuss.
Not saying he got every decision right but the incidents of hand
bags were well dealt with imo and I felt he was correct to
caution Grealish. An interesting game in which City's
experience and professionalism showed and I don't think there
were major controversies for debate to centre on the officials
afterwards. Like others, I was pretty certain City's second
goal was offside at first. Until you see the lines, camera
angles can be misleading.

Teams have been charged for failing to control their players
when there has been one melee during games this season. What is
the charge when there are 3 separate melees?
