I'm not sure what his role was, but Lee Mason was parked in
front of me at Spotland today. He was dressed for business and
had an iPad with him.

Perhaps his presence inspired a Rochdale win at home for a
change!
[/quote]
Aye, more than likely.

Robert Lewis turned 53 on 22nd April, and RR is 25. So, yes,
quite the age gap! Like I said, from where I was seated, it
looked a pen. But definitely the best at GR this season,
although Neil Hair comes close.

Thanks Ryan Ellis. 'Assured' is how a friend described Ruebyn's
performance yesterday and I think this sums up my thoughts as
well.

Crewe V Bradford. Well. It was always going to be a tough game
for Adam, and that proved. He was put under the spotlight many
of times during the game, mainly in the 2nd half. First 45, he
was alright. 2 bookings were completely justified - one for
stopping a promising attack(Crewe player booked) and one for a
complete wipe out at the edge of the Bradford box( Bradford
player booked.) Then at 20.49, out comes his team for the 2nd
half. First 15 mins, he made the correct decisions. He kept
control of the game, when tensions were high, especially for the
visiting side. On 86th min, Adam booked a Crewe forward(Agyei),
for an apparent pull back. But, first of all from where I was
sat, it didn't even look a foul never mind a yellow card because
there was hardly any contact! Crewe fans started to get on Adam
Herczeg's back from then on. He added on +10 mins in the second
half, and rightly so, mainly due to pyros being thrown on the
pitch from the Bradford end, after their 2 early second half
goals. This did delay the game for a period of time, with police
on the pitch, trying to sort the bradford fans out. In the 96th
min, a Crewe attacker was flying down the left wing, and was
holding it in the corner. He was being dragged to the floor the
whole time - no foul. The same Crewe attacker then gave away a
foul for, presumably, frustration. From that resulting free -
kick, the Bradford keeper put the ball way ahead from where the
infringement was. So, the same Crewe attacker moved to ball back
to where it should've been taken from. The Crewe forward then
gets booked for doing this. Then, Crewe have a chance. In the
100th min, Crewe get a penalty. The home players were frustrated
at this, because they just scored but Adam already blew up,
eagerly, for a penalty. He kept the frustration to a low.
Overall, he seemed quite relaxed, knowing where Bradford
position is in the table. Credit where it is due.

Thanks Ryan Ellis, I wish I had been there. I heard on the radio
about the flares on the pitch and the late penalty which
deprived Bradford City of the opportunity last night of
confirming a place in the playoffs. A big crowd and a lot of
atmosphere and I'm glad to hear that Adam kept a lid on things.
