Whilst play off appointments are to be congratulated, I can’t
help feeling there will be a hint of disappointment today for
Lewis Smith. Given his appointments this season, I thought he
was a shoe in for the final. Not sure who will be the favourite
now….Scott Tallis?

Thought Harry Jones had an excellent game at Nuneaton Borough
today. Great spot for penalty first half and I thought good
decision late on not to give penalty for handball to Nuneaton.
Other incidents during the game I thought he handled very well.

Is it possible that Lewis Smith might still get the National
League play off final as there are still Semi-final matches to
be played before the final? I'd have thought that maybe Scott
Tallis might do one of them and one of the Jacksons (not
Michael) the other. Smith has easily been the best I've seen
this season as his regular appearances in the FL have testified.

Suspect that may be the case as the final would likely not
involve either of those teams. I think possibly Tallis and
Ricardo (who has probably done more NL games than Kirk had last
season) for the Semis.

I saw a tweet that the Didcot Vs Ware game was settled via a
penalty 1-0.....for a foul that was outside the box!

He has done fewer NL games than Kirk had last year.

I have to say that Ricardo has rather gone under my radar this
season. I do recall JCFC tipping him for a bright career some
years ago - and he seems to have a good nose for these things.

Would I be right on saying the Jamie O Connor and Dean Watson
are 2A referees while Dale Baines and Ruben Riccardo are 2B
referees?
