That is correct Acme. 12 awarded for Palace and 11 for United.
Incidentally, and perhaps slightly surprisingly, is that all 20
clubs were awarded a penalty and all 20 conceded at least 1 too!

Palace always have been on the right end of numerous penalty
decisions. I remember attending a match when they were awarded
three, the first ridiculous, the second merely questionable and
the third a "stone-wall".

I wouldn't disagree with you nemesis. I was trying to recall the
match you mention. Palace v Brighton in March 1989 was famous
for including five penalties, four of them to the Palace (ref
Kelvin Morton), and I recall Palace v Stoke in Feb 2004 which
included three penalties, but only two to the Palace (ref Rob
Styles). The worst decision I saw was from Geoff Eltringham at
Bolton in Sept 2012 when he awarded Palace a late penalty after
Zaha fell over in the area. How we laughed. The resulting goal
proved to be the winner 1-0 and Palace went on to secure
promotion to the PL via the Playoffs.

Thanks for this. Charles Breakspear at the top of the red card
list is not perhaps surprising although it should be emphasised
(not for the first time) that most if not all of the red cards
he issued seemed justified. Should we be surprised that Trevor
Kettle is top of the yellow card list?
