Simon Hooper - Man City v Liverpool

Rodri should have been sent off. It's just a clear second yellow
card and booking him a minute earlier for the same thing. A
least two Liverpool players should also be booked for
       surrounding him.
Also Salah booked for kicking the ball away rightly so, but the
assistant is two yards away from a clear foul on Salah. Hope he
doesn't leave the game run away from him.
Handling well enough but needs to be consistent.

I don't think Rodri's was worth of a second yellow tbh

I would tend to agree with Magpie, but thought it's been a great
game so far and a good performance by Hooper. As long as be
maintains consistency with issuing of cards, I have no problem
       with this

That isn't a second caution. It wasn't in any way reckless so
would have to be SPA, and given Gakpo was running straight into
Stones there really wasn't anything promising about it.
I agree with the commentators and Peter Walton, Hooper is
managing it very well and contributing to an excellent game, but
he needs to be careful as it looks close to boiling over at
       times.

Hooper has been very good, has judged the feel of the game
excellently. Correct cautions for Salah and serial offender
       Rodri.
Only KMI so far and I agree with poster 1 should be a second
yellow for Rodri, for consistency purposes
Will be interesting to see if Liverpool get a fine for
surrounding referee as other teams have in recent weeks…
Oh and some fantastic play acting by gundogan in minute 2’ and
grealish in minute 37’. Wonderous to behold 😂

Think Trent was fortunate not to get a yellow for the foul on
       Grealish?

Not a yellow for me, Grealish made it look far worse than it was

Not a bad performance by Hooper but not especially good either.
When you take a lenient view and decide to keep your cards in
your pocket in such a game there is always the chance it will
boil over as players push the boundaries to their limits.
I must say Hooper seemed to be consistent in his issuing of
cards and managed to keep a lid on the pressure cooker in the
       first half.
Second half much easier to referee especially as when Liverpool
went behind they appeared to lose their fight in the game.
Rodri was never going to get a second yellow after Hooper had
been so lenient With Fabinho in the early stages.
Thought TAA was lucky not to be sanctioned for persistent
       infringements.
Cant say i am fan of managing games myself, if a sanction is
required it should be issued whether in the first 15 mins or at
any other point. Clamping down early usually calms things down
       and diffuses situations.
If players wish over step the mark and decide an early bath is
for them then that is their problem.

I was at the game, so didn’t get the best view of the Rodri
fouls. Mr Hooper seemed to signal persistent infringement for
the YC, but I don’t recall play being stopped for other Rodri
fouls, was he responsible for other infringements prior where Mr
       Hooper played advantage?
There were two Fabinho fouls in quick succession early on, no
card either to the offender or any of the City delegation trying
to persuade him otherwise. Similarly for the more forceful
Liverpool demands for Rodri to walk. The first of the two
Trent-Arnold fouls on Grealish was almost in front of me and
there seemed to be some afters, so a little surprised there was
no sanction for the second a couple of minutes later.
Wondered why when Alisson was wearing a very dark kit (couldn’t
be sure if charcoal grey or black) the officials were also in
black. An outing for the orange, or dare I suggest yellow ref
kits might have been in order

Yellow tops should be reserved for players, be it team colours
       or goalkeepers.
