The thing which bemused me is why were the Fulham players/bench
so angry? It's a clear Penalty and Red Card don't see why
Mitrovic was so up in arms about it.

He is absolutely fine. He has someone available for any MH fall
out from it who he will talk to if he needs it. He also has an
amazing supportive family.
In more general terms the help available is variable. I work in
referee MH, not in the UK, there are some schemes in place with
some Federations and a lot of the top refs have their own
personal MH mentor/support person. There is nowhere near enough
support though imo and it's something that needs to be taken
more seriously overall.

You make an extremely good point cwh, firstly i think that he
coped very well after the fiasco surrounding the penalty
decision, however it could have been adrenalin that got him
through.
There will be help for him through the pgmol and others should
he need it. I am sure he will be well looked after, he will have
confidantes to talk things through with, which from experience
(albeit at a more junior level) will be extremely valuable and
helpful in days to come.

Possibly frustration overload. Realising they were potentially
throwing the game away, which of course they did. It was an
appalling, disgraceful over reaction to their own caused issue
and took it out on the ref - the easy target. No excuse for so
called professionals to act in that way though.
It's such a shame in terms of how well they were doing up until
that point. They were winning, clearly the better team and threw
it away with a complete loss of discipline.

Have to disagree with you on this part - he moans about the ref
virtually every week. He's confrontational with the 4O way too
often. Decent coach and I like the style of football his teams
play but he jumps on the blame the ref bandwagon far too often,
imo.

Yes, we were the better side, we deserved to be ahead and if it
wasn't for De Gea we might have been further ahead but moreover,
we were showing the whole nation (who don't usually see our
matches) what a good side we can be. From that to total national
embarrassment

For all of the talk, videos, badges, armbands, posters,
handshakes, ‘Respect’ initiatives, the FA now have a clear
chance to make a stand against blatantly unacceptable behaviour
in its biggest competition. A long ban should be publicly given
for language, grabbing referee angrily, failing to leave the
field, and anything else.
I’ll be amazed if it’s more than 5 games total….!

The vast majority of your fans have condemned the behaviour of
Mitrovic and Silva on various SM sites which has shown your
fanbase in a very good light. Don't lose sight of that. You have
a good team, you are playing lovely football and you are doing
so well this season. Personally I love to see it. Don't let 2
mins of utter madness ruin your season.
Sorry non refereeing really but we have some brilliant Fulham
fans on here in our community and their response has been
fantastic. If Kav does ever read this thread then he will
possibly appreciate their responses the most.

I understand the whole well why wasn't Fernandes dealt with in
the same way. The situations are very different - Mitrovic
pushed Kav very openly out on the field of play in full view of
everyone. He then continued to try and go for him in full view
of everyone and Kav had to keep moving back to prevent him
making further contact. Fernandes pushed Nunn in the back on the
touchline - the referee didn't see it, he was focused on the
play and Nunn had no way of knowing if it was a deliberate push
or if Fernandes had accidentally ran into him as he returned to
the pitch as it was behind him. The initial camera angle was not
clear what had happened because you only really saw Nunn
suddenly step forward. Now whether there should have been a VAR
review for a potential red card is another matter but the
initial view was that it was not clear what had happened and
that is the biggest difference.

It’s safe to say then the days after Madley failed to show red
for what happened to Nunn, it safe to say he has instructed an
expectation for any touch on the referee be it the arm back or a
shove will result in a red card !! I look forward to more action
being taken and consistent
To sum it up - Fulham lost their heads and Kav took the correct
sanctions.
