Sounds like a distraction from Cooper's post match comments.
This does not look good for the game. I am sure that there are
channels to voice concerns but the public space is not the place
to do it.

From a 'biased' point of view (an Everton fan) - I thought he
refereed the game very well. I can understand the players being
niggly, it was a relegation 6 pointer after all, but thought
Brooks dealt with it all sensibly.
Despite that, I did think he made at least 1 obvious error when
Idrissa Gueye was obviously fouled just outside the Nottingham
Forest penalty area in the second half, and I thought VAR might
have had a closer look at the Coleman penalty appeal (which Sean
Dyche mentioned in his post-match interview on the club
website), but apart from that a very good performance by the
officials, in fact it's up there with the best I've seen this
season.

If they gave Brooksmore games, rather than 1 every 6 weeks, they
wouldn't have to worry about appointing him to VAR roles...

Might be better having a chat with his old man before lodging
the complaint.

Times today reports that Cooper has a dossier about John Brooks
which he intends to send to the PGMOL. I've only just caught up
with the highlights on MOTD. A feisty game and I think John
showed his relative inexperience at times in allowing play to go
on following perceived fouls. An early example was a Forest
player who was clearly pulled back in midfield, but John allowed
play to go on only to blow (correctly) a few seconds later when
an Everton player went to ground. Cue frustrated reaction from
the Forest players and an incensed crowd. Having said that, John
got the Everton penalty award correct, although at first glance,
it looked harsh, and he was not swayed later on when an Everton
player went down a bit too easily near the Forest penalty area.
So, difficult to see what is going to be in Cooper's dossier or
what the reaction of the PGMOL will be. Hopefully, it will not
be an apology.
