The behaviour of these players is disgraceful this afternoon,
several unnecessary flashpoints and it seems cards are the only
way to stop this from escalating. Unfortunately I don’t think
this will end up 11 a side.
Brooks has done well in a testing niggly affair.

Feels like the referee tried everything, and the players still
wanted to act like children.

That was an outstanding performance by John Brooks. A very
tetchy relegation battle that he could have easily lost control
of, but he never looked like doing so. That's as good a
refereeing performance as I've seen for some time.

Steve Cooper does not agree that the referee had a good game.
Questioned some of the decisions without going into detail. Not
seen the game but Cooper's comments focused too much on the
referee. Not good.

I agree rustyref - very good from Brooks. An excellent
relegation battle that was played on the edge with the
occasional threat to boil over but didn’t thanks to the
officials who judged their interventions very well.

Not sure how it ended up 11 vs 11, that could be excellent
testament to Brook's management where it would've been easy to
flash twice as many cards

That has to be one of the most impressive performances I’ve seen
this season, and the ghosts of the VAR shambles should be washed
away comprehensively with this showing from Brooks.

Very disappointing reaction from Steve Cooper. He should attend
to his own side's shortcomings rather than criticise a referee
who had a perfectly good match and did well to control ill
disciplined players.

The telegraph are reporting that Forest will be making an
official complaint over Brooks’s clumsy performance. I hope
PGMOL tell them to stick it.
