If this person ( I am presuming male ) is a lawyer and gets
elevated to the High Court Bench then he would be Mr Justice
Justice Abaka-Jacobs and he would be able to say, I am so good
they named me twice !

A.F.C. Bournemouth v Liverpool - Alex Rush-Fear
probably should have been Everton (Fear of Rush)
Rochdale v Fulham - James Birch-Ford
almost Basil Fawlty but I think it was his Austin he gave a damn
good thrashing, and no idea if it was a birch

The Bishop of London in the 1950s, himself double barrelled, was
Henry Montgomery Campbell who was known for his deadpan and
somewhat mordant wit. Once he was interviewing a young curate in
his study at Fulham Palace and said " take a chair Clinton "
only for the curate to reply " actually my Lord, it's
Fiennes-Clinton " to which the Bishop responded " well, take
two chairs then ".

Another example was at his enthronement in St Paul's. When
various aged canons tottered up to pay their respects he
muttered 'Behold, the See giveth up her dead'.

When he arrived at St Paul's, by custom the great West Doors
were closed for him to strike them three times with his crozier
to gain admittance. Being so enormous the Doors took a long
while to open. The Bishop turned to his Chaplain and said " I
think we've come to the wrong place "
My favourite Montgomery Campbell story is that he once spoke
about two of his predecessors like this " one went out of his
mind; the other had no mind to go out of "
Once a friend asked him whether he would come an open a village
fete " because you are such a wit " The Bishop declined the
invitation and suggested that instead he ask a couple of other
bishops do to it together because " they're half wits "

The double-barrelling of the first one named above has nothing
to do with his parents (not strictly true, it's half to do with
his parents!)
(wasn't sure if double barrelling should have a hyphen or not -
it seemed appropriate)

Some people when they marry or contract a civil partnership
decide to double up their names to a joint surname.
