Anybody know who the 4th official at Northampton was today?
Certainly didn’t look like a Wayne. Also AR1 really let the
referee down with a terrible red card spot and 4 or 5 clear
missed offsides
Given that a Wayne can look like anything from Wayne Rooney to
Wayne Sleep, I'm not sure what a Wayne should look like.
(unless he was a she, of course)

It was Abi Byrne from Suffolk ... and you're right, she doesn't
look like a Wayne !

Surprising judging from the clip I saw, that Northampton's
appeal against that red card failed.

Lewis Smith continues his upward climb...
A bit late to comment, sorry, but saw Lewis Smith live on
Tuesday at Walsall v Bradford.
I liked his style, set a relatively high bar for fouls which
made for a refreshingly less stop-start game than the majority
of referees in L2 seem to allow.
All cautions spot on. A couple of penalty shouts (one for either
team) for pushes were waved away and to be fair to him, was
absolutely consistent with the rest of the decisions given/not
given during the game, which he was in control of the whole
time.
You could even make a very good argument for him being the best
performer on the night from the 22+ on the pitch.
A note of caution may be that the approach to letting more go
may not work quite so well in a game that is higher profile or a
bigger atmosphere, however this wasn't one so it worked very
well.
