       It was a straight red so got downgraded to a yellow he didn’t
       pick up another yellow

       Dale Johnson suggests the initial yellow card was for the
       challenge by Havertz. And that Cann told Attwell that he had
       seen a push direct to the face but wasn't sure of the identity,
       but the pictures didn't support this interpretation hence the
       VAR recommending an OFR.
       This seems like an example where being able to hear the
       conversation between referee and VAR would be beneficial to all.

       The original yellow card he took out was for Havertz who tried
       to trip Richarlison (a ridiculous decision given that he'd
       allowed Richarlison to do the same to stop an attack earlier and
       he'd ignored clear cautions for Kane and Fernandez).

       I think Dale also mentioned VAR can support with identification
       of an offender as Cann had said he saw a push to the face (e.g.
       potential VC) and the VAR told the referee it was Ziyetch.
       Once Attwell has decided his fate (in this case a red card) then
       the VAR check starts to validate/correct the decision
