       Naturally that is a subjective view that you could take, just as
       you could take a subjective view that Rashford wasn't
       interfering in any way.  But it also possible to argue that
       Gabriel was challenging Haarland rather than the other way round
       - after all it doesn't seem possible to foul someone without
       there being some contact, and Haarland was trying to get away
       from Gabriel.
       What would have happened in the Derby had Akanji ran straight
       into the back of Rashford and brought him down?

       Except that Haaland is offside coming back from the original
       pass forward and challenges an opponent before they turn to run
       into the penalty area.
       But then again, don’t let things that happen on the pitch cloud
       that view through blue tinted specs.

       Depends on if Akanji was trying to get the ball. If he was
       offside. If not penalty/free kick but not red as it can’t be
       DOGSO

       I would venture to suggest that those who are seen as role
       models should apply the law/sanctions in a way that younger and
       less experienced referees can watch and emulate!!!
