       A TAYLOR: ARSENAL V M CITY

Ederson should be getting a 2nd yellow for giving away a
stonewall pen. Bernardo Silva somehow not booked. However, love
how he's clamping down on discipline. Bar the issues above, all
       good so far.

Why were no City players booked for charging at the referee when
       the pen was awarded??

I don’t think the challenge is worthy of a yellow card tbh, it’s
not reckless and it doesn’t stop a promising attack. Not really
sure why it would be a yellow for the keeper (and therefore his
       second yellow)?

I think he’s been superb in a highly charged atmosphere and
       game.
This is the first game since Webb had called the meeting of all
SG1 officials and the early stamping out of time wasting with a
card in the first half hour or so looks like a possible result
       of such discussions.
Will be interesting to see if that measure is continued into the
       weekend.

Why? It was careless, not reckless. It didn't stop a promising
attack, if anything it upgraded the attack. A caution there
       would just be plain wrong.

Good decision for penalty but not a yellow card for me either.
However, surrounding the referee and doing nothing is not good.
Taylor has done well imho, love the cards for time wasting.

A good use of VAR and they took their time, correct decision and
       YC and penalty overturned.

Lucky Arsenal - they didn't know that. Nice and fiesta and
Taylor is ideal for this game and is doing very well. How would
       other SG1 referees have managed?

Anthony was amazing, no beratings for Beswick, a nice Nunny on
the far side, some entertainment for England, and Coote was
careful but eventually David was dead-on!

An excellent performance in what had the potential to have
       become very testing
