Peter Bankes - Preston NE v Tottenham

Peter Bankes didn’t have much to do, but he performed very
capably and was in control throughout. The only yellow card came
for a Preston player who was rightly cautioned for simulation in
trying to win a free kick near the Tottenham penalty area.
A very straightforward game to referee and the players made it
easy for Bankes by just getting on with it. He isn’t everyone’s
cup of tea on RTR but again, like Paul Tierney last night, I
speak as I find
and don’t rely overmuch on reputation, good or bad.

Fully agree with you. The caution of a Preston player for
simulation was a masterstroke, given that the TV angle suggested
that the player had been fouled, which he clearly hadn't. Well
done Peter, a good performance this evening.

I was at the match and I thought That Peter Bankes had an
excellent game.
