There was an interesting question on Twitter to name as many
footballers who’s last name could also be their first name.
For example:
John Terry
David Lee
I decided to take this one step further and name Premier League
referees both current and former who meet this criteria.
Have I missed any and if not… what about opening it up to
assistants and all officials in the Football League (past and
present)
The ones I could name are:
Michael Oliver
Anthony Taylor
Mike Dean
Lee Mason
Graham Scott
Neale Barry
Paul Taylor
Phillip Don

I work in an IT role out here in Sydney, and whilst you wouldn't
think Jarred Gillett could be both ways, some of the shockers
that people use for names out here; Gillett as a first name
wouldn't be too bad at all [emoji23]
EDIT: George Cain springs to mind, along with Keith Cooper.

Mike Riley (aside: the only time I’ve come across that as a
first name was when I cautioned someone last month)
