Frank Murphy was rubbish tonight. Frankly rubbish. Got the big
decisions right but that was all he got right. He just let
everything go at the breakdown then penalised a few things.
Not going to be a top referee based on the evidence of that.
Brace a much better referee.
Commentators during the game where equally as critical.

In comparison to his performance in the CASEXE game he was
worlds better tonight. Was a very chaotic game in places, which
his liberal breakdown interpretation "helped"
I agree that Andrew Brace has become a better referee

Who was the ref at Sale this afternoon? A red card totally
changed the game when the English side were in total command.
Haven't managed to see a replay yet and someone with more idea
of the rugby code than me can clarify if decision was correct

Mike Adamson. Sale coach Sanderson had no complaints. You cannot
dive onto a ruck using a no arms tackle, in this case arm tucked
under his body. Direct contact with head, no mitigation.
At Munster there were 2 red card considerations. Saints got
lucky as initial contact was on chest, so degree of danger was
deemed low. 50:50 call. The Munster player can have no
complaints. Evened up contest as up to then Munster were
dominant, Saints fast asleep!

Now Henry Slade sent off by injury replacement referee in SA -
he said direct head contact despite there being clear evidence
that the arm actually hit the ball and rode up- there will be an
appeal!

Andrew Brace is usually a solid referee. However it wasn’t a
good day for him at all. Very random on his calling of
deliberate knock ons. Two very blatant ones right in front of
him he needed TMO for. Forgot about an advantage he was playing
(Harlequins only went backwards). Harlequins number 8 wrongly
sin binned. Then a completely wrong decision at the end also
against Harlequins ultimately costing them the game.
