Good work so far from the officials. Interesting one from Darren
Cann, an excellent offside call followed by a a wrong decision
which was very tough, and a slightly poor offside call. Good
work from Darren England on VAR

Just thought I'd attach this nonsense. Attwell was excellent and
I'd even say it was the best refereeing performance since the
EPL returned. Faultless except the VAR interventions which
weren't his fault

I thought Atwell was OK, he didn’t get anything wrong which is
all anyone can ask for. He tried to let the game flow which is
to his credit.
Jurgen Klopp’s complaint about the third goal has no merit, it
was poor defending and all three Brentford goals came from poor
decision making by Liverpool.

The 3rd goal wasn't a foul, the defender just felt contact and
threw himself over. Hopefully players will eventually realise
they aren't going to get soft decisions like that under the new
law interpretations, and if they don't they will give goals
away.

Nonsense indeed. When Klopp can keep a civil tongue in his head
when addressing referees and particularly ARs ( we haven't
forgotten the angry outburst of temper some weeks ago ) then
Match Officials might talk to him. Until that level of courtesy
is reached ( and it's by no means solely the conduct of Klopp
but other managers/coaches as well ) then I certainly wouldn't
engage with him. Microwaves, when programmed, do what you
instruct them too; I'm afraid with Match Officials it doesn't
work like that. Let's hope the lesson is soon learned.
