Extremely sad news indeed, Jeremy was a fantastic guy who adored
the game of cricket and all those involved in it. He will be
sadly missed by his former colleagues, the players, his dear
       wife and family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy at Scarborough one Sunday
when the wet weather got the
Better of the days play between Yorks and Gloucestershire.
We had many more conversations at various grounds around the
country and since that day at Scarborough. Jeremy always found
time for a chat about anything and everything but most of all
       cricket when he saw me.
An incredibly lovely guy, RIP my friend, we will miss you.

Sad to read of the passing of Umpire Jeremy Lloyds at the
relatively young age of 68. Good steady Umpire and former
       player. RIP Jeremy.

So very sad, a very good and imho a very underrated umpire. And
someone I have heard from other sources to be extremely popular
       with the players.
       RIP Jeremy

There is another thread in non footy forum too perhaps they can
       be merged?
Jeremy was a top class bloke, i have missed our regular chats
since he left the umpires list.
My thoughts and condolences with his wife and family. RIP my
       dear friend.

Terribly sad news - my thoughts are with all those close to him.
He was a fine umpire and cricket person. The amount of tributes
I've seen from current & recent players speaks volumes for how
respected he was in the game. RIP.

I wasn't aware of the other thread. More than happy for Admin to
       merge.
