C BREAKSPEAR- Plymouth v Exeter

A clean sheet from one of our favourite card sharks on RTR.
Clearly he had instructions not to wear yellow! 😂
Horrible conditions for a match and to be honest he hardly had
anything to do with two teams making an effort to play and win
fairly, without any diving around, feigning injury or mouthing
off at the officials.
Teams in the PL should take note of this!

The biggest compliment I can pay him and the two teams is I
never once noticed him.

Loved the way he refereed this match , thought he was
outstanding and played his part in making the game entertaining
for those who braved the horrendous weather, allowed the plAyers
to get on with it a few times which as TTFL said was accepted by
the players .

Very enjoyable game for the neutral. Two teams trying to win the
game, playing in terrible conditions, very good display from the
officials and no intrusions from VAR to spoil the celebrations
for 6 decent goals. Certainly a very good advert for League One.

Good to hear of another first class display from Charles
Breakspear, continuing on from his fine performance at Leyton
Orient last week. A referee in good form and an outside bet for
elevation to SG2 maybe?
Sounded a terrific game too with the six goals, and as one
correspondent remarked, with no VAR to spoil matters with it’s
over forensic analysis.

I enjoy watching Breakspear referee personally I think he
deserves a promotion certainly based on his performances last
night was no exception as already been said he let the game flow
, good advantage for the first goal of the evening , had a good
rapport and hardly any dissent from the players

Maybe his current employment means he doesn't want to or is able
to go for a promotion.

I have wondered if that was the case before. I'm not sure what
he does for a living. It's never made sense to me why he's not
been promoted, although to be fair not a lot of what comes out
of the Ivory Towers makes sense but there you go...

He's lovely! At AFCB at the weekend he had a plain black jacket
on over the top of the hideous training wear top so the yellow
could not be seen! This is why he is one of my favourites -
well aside of the fact he's a decent referee!

I thought he looked really “up for it” . He refereed the game
excellently. Despite the conditions it was very entertaining.
Impressive performance.

The last time I spoke to him - albeit a good while ago - he
certainly had ambitions to get to SG2.
