Excellent call from the assistant to recommend a red card for
Callum Robinson for throwing the ball into the Swansea player's
face

Cardiff lucky to not have given away a penalty for handball.
However Darren Bond's view of it was blocked by Joe Ralls the
Cardiff captain

Very good early decision. But then how on earth did he and the
Assistant miss the clearest handball of the season. Where is var
when you need it 😉

Well Darren Bond's view was blocked by Joe Ralls and the ball
travelled so quickly that it would have been difficult to tell
in real time

I had to see a second camera angle to convince me of what had
happened. As a referee I found it difficult to see who last
headed a ball to decide corner or goal kick. Unfortunate but it
happens. Commentator said just now, if you do not see it you
cannot guess. Players may criticise the ref but I suspect
referees would sympathise and I daresay referee will be very
upset.

I've just started watching and the first thing that struck me is
the behaviour of the players - it's atrocious. They're making
it really difficult for Darren. There's no question that a
penalty should have been given, but it looks like Darren's view
may have been blocked and as the commentator said, you cannot
guess that sort of decision. Saw the red card on Twitter and
Robinson can have no complaints - ridiculous behaviour so early
on in a derby.

I know he missed the Kipre penalty - glad to see he's still a
maniac from when he left us - but I thought Darren Bond deserved
a medal, he dealt with the histrionics really well throughout
and he probably needed eyes everywhere. The players were a
disgrace.

I agree with @greeny the player behaviour was awful, good red in
the 7th minute, but a good spot and call by the assistant to
prob be screaming at him red red into the mics, players were
lucky only 6 yellows shown, because could of easily been a 10+
yellows and 2/3 red game ! But then again we would of had people
say refeee Bond didn’t feel the game … thought he done well, but
I would of abandoned the nice approach and just went minute 1 to
minute 93
